Wedding Photography FAQ
Should we have an engagement session?
The key focus for an engagement shoot is to allow us to get used to working together before the wedding day and help you overcome any fears you have of being in front of the camera. It makes a huge difference on the big day for us both.
Why should I add a second photographer?
At larger weddings especially, it can be difficult to be shooting the main events, the bride & groom, the venue detail and the guests - someone will be missed somewhere! The second shooter is also very handy when it comes to group shots and weddings at multiple locations.
Would you shoot outside the UK?
Yes! I'm more than willing to travel anywhere for you, please get in touch. I view the privilege of traveling to be included in the price - large discounts are available when booking a destination wedding with me.
How does booking work?
Once we have a package agreed, I'll prepare a contract and invoice and they'll go to your email inbox. You will then have to pay a 15% deposit which will confirm your date in my calendar. From there, we'll stay in touch and wait for the big day!
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes! Alongside my 2 Sony cameras, I also have a Nikon DSLR with various lenses as an extra back up in case of a real disaster.
Are you insured?
Absolutely! For all wedding photography services I offer, I have full insurance coverage.
What kind of gear do you use?
I'm primarily invested in Sony Mirrorless Camera gear. My current main camera is a Sony A9ii, and my second camera is a Sony A7ii. My 3 preferred wedding lenses at the moment are the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, Sony 85mm f/1.8 prime and the Samyang 18mm f/2.8 prime. I use a Godox V860II flash on each camera, with other lighting gear available if necessary.
How long until we see the photos?
Usually anywhere within 4 weeks from the wedding, though in especially busy time I may suggest 6-8 weeks but that would be a rare occurrence. You're more likely to get them within a week or two!
How does the guest album work?
As guests will ask for photos of themselves and their family/friends throughout the day, it's nice to give them direct access to those photos rather than make you individually find and send the photos around. So I'll have either a card with a QR code/link to a 'guest' album on your online gallery, or I'll take their email address/phone number to send them the link. This album will consist of the posed group photos, and a small selection of candid shots if suitable. If you rather we don't allow this guest album, just let me know.
